Tuina massage (pronounced tween-na) is an ancient technique originating from China and has been used for around 2000 years.
It involves firstly rocking the body to aid relaxation before the main techniques are carried out. These include pulling, pushing, grasping squeezing and stretching of muscles and joints. Other techniques include shaking, vibrating and acupressure. It can be a very deep and vigorous treatment therefore might not be suitable for all, however it is great for tension, stress and stiffness.
