Massage is a technique that has been used for centuries and is one of the oldest forms of treatment in the world. It is essentially good for muscular tension, aches and pains, stress and insomnia, which many of us suffer from in our lifetime.
Massage works on the blood circulation and stimulates the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins. It’s a great stress reliever and helps to promote sleep and relaxation.
Massage can be adapted to suit the needs of the client. Some clients will benefit from a deep strong relaxing massage whilst others may require a lighter touch, either way you are sure to benefit.
A good all round treatment for the above conditions or for those who feel in need of a little pampering!
Does oil have to be used during treatment?
Oil is used during the treatment as it is far easier to use than cream which is absorbed too quickly. The oil used is generally unscented and tends not to stain clothing. It absorbs into the skin and is best left on after your massage although it can be washed off if desired. Please let your therapist know if you have any known allergies to certain ingredients.
What will I need to wear?
You will need to undress to your underwear to receive your treatment however you will be covered with a large towel and only the part of the body being massaged is exposed. If you feel uncomfortable regarding this you may wish to wear a pair of shorts. You will be left to dress and undress in private and will never be made to feel uncomfortable.
